Can’t believe I got 5 scrapbook pages done in 2 days! Amazing what you can get done when you put the dogs outside & the kids go to friends’ houses. :) Here’s the first page I did:

Too Busy

Things have been so hectic around here. I have a new appreciation for single parents. It's HARD taking care of everything by yourself. With Jesse working nights I'm home by myself with the kids & that's all I here is "Mom, I need..." or "Mom, can you get me...". By the end of the night I'm exhausted. Needless to say, I have not gotten any scrapping done. I haven't even opened Photoshop except to make my Oct. desktop calendar. So I don't have any layouts to share. In fact, I'm seriously considering shutting down my blog. I have nothing to share & no time to update it. I'll let you know for sure in a little while.

Can’t Wait…

I’m so excited. Yesterday I got a new scrap kit to use…isn’t this the cutest kit! I can’t wait to use it.

I have been looking for a Star Wars themed kit for a LOOONG time & just never found one I liked. This one is perfect for all the pictures we have of Caleb with his various costumes. I’ll definitely get my money’s worth out of this one! :)

Ummm, I guess I don’t really have too much news to share. Just been busy with the day-to-day stuff. Brandy is settling in quite nicely…her and Cooper are starting to get along better & play now.

Oh, one kinda cool thing---Jesse and the kids went to the Clay County Fair in Spencer, IA yesterday. They saw Jesse James there!

So that takes care of all my interesting news. :) I’ll be back when I get some pages done with that Star Wars kit.

Quick Little Update

Just thought I’d do a quick update…there’s been a lot happening here! Soooo, we got the swing set done & the kids are loving it.

They did a castle theme---made flags for the corner posts & a couple “medieval banners” to hang in the tower. So far they’ve been playing on it a lot.

We went to Jesse’s birthday party at Jackpot Junction last Sunday. The kids had a blast in the pool!

Tomorrow morning we are leaving for a little vacation. We’ll be going to the lake with some friends like we do every summer & then school shopping (yes, I know it’s kinda last minute!) on Sunday.

Tuesday the kids go back to school. Yay!!

And for the best news…at least according to the kids. We’re getting a puppy next week. Cooper will have a little sister. :) Her name is gonna be Brandy.

I took that picture with my cell phone, so it’s not the best quality, but you get the idea. She’s a cutie! And she’s a snuggler! :) She’s got these little black freckles across her nose…so cute! I think we’ll probably go pick her up on Monday. Should be interesting…I’ve never potty-trained a puppy before!

It's Been a Busy Week

I'm glad this week is coming to a close. We have been so busy here trying to get this new swingset ready to use. We got this wooden swingset from Jesse's brother for free---their girls are too big for it now. My kids were SOOO excited. We got it home & set it up, only to find out that it is really wobbly. I was afraid the whole thing would collapse like a house of cards. So my Mom & Dad have been here every night this week trying to make it safe for the kids. Monday night we shoveled out a section (that would be underneath the tower) for cement. Tuesday night Mom & Dad poured the cement. Last night Dad & my brother got the tower set on the cement & got the monkey bar poles cemented. This morning Jesse & I finished installing the bar for the swings, the slide & the ladder. Mom, sister-in-law & I also froze 20 bags of sweet corn last night. Should be enough to last for awhile! :) I'm going to make a canopy for the top of the tower, so when that is done I'll post some pictures. After this hectic week & the late night last night, I was pooped. Came home from work & sat in the chair intending to read for awhile. Didn't take long for me to fall asleep. :) Now I'm awake & ready to do something fun, but the kids are playing at a friends' house. I kinda sound like the kids now....I'M BORED!! :) Gonna go see if I can get some more of this book read. Have a good night!

I Actually Have a Layout to Share!!

I have been working really hard on getting the kids’ books caught up & I did a page for Caleb’s that I really like. The kit I used for the layout was perfect for Caleb---lots of bright colors & bold patterns. Here’s a preview of the kit:

Sooo…hmmm, what else has been happening around here? Not much I guess. I took the kids to the county fair on Friday & forgot my camera at home. :( Oh yeah, on Saturday I got a tattoo. It’s on my left wrist…here’s a pic.
We had family pictures taken today for the church directory. We get a free 8x10 of the family picture, which is nice. Then they took some more pictures that they try to get you to buy. There was one of the kids together that was SOOOOO cute, but it was $40 for 2 5x7’s! I was proud of myself—I did not buy them even though they were so cute.

So I guess that’s about all that’s new around here. Now I’m gonna go print some more scrapbook pages out. I’m making progress! Have a good week.

I'm feeling completely overwhelmed right now & just need to vent. Figured this was as good a place as any! :) So the other night I was transfering pictures from my computer to CD's. Ended up transfering almost 500 pictures! While I was doing that, I was also going through the pictures & figuring out which ones I wanted to scrap. Come to find out that I'm WAAAAYYYY behind on the kids' books. I have pictures from 2007 that I haven't scrapped yet!! I've never been that far behind before....EVER! So I made a list (which makes me feel better) of the pages that need to get done for each kid & I'm slowly making my way down the list...scrapping & printing as I go. I know it'll get done...it just seems like a REALLY long list right now. There...I feel better now. Off to scrap some more! :)
